From a young age, I gave my heart to Jesus—it remains the best decision I have ever made. My greatest desire was to become a home missionary, serving stateside rather than going abroad. However, I quickly learned that one does not need the official title of "missionary" to carry out the duties of one. In fact, not holding the title can often make a person even more effective. After all, the core responsibilities of a missionary are to share the good news of salvation, evangelize, educate, relieve physical suffering, advocate for social justice, and visit the sick, shut-in, imprisoned, and lonely.
God has allowed me to fulfill my calling through various roles: literature evangelist, author, volunteer prison ministry chaplain, educator, blogger, storyteller, vlogger, prayer intercessor, and now, even a baker—all in pursuit of leading souls to Christ. By His grace, I have witnessed hundreds of people come to Him as a result of this heartfelt mission.
Additionally, the Lord has given me the privilege of conducting educational workshops, preaching in dozens of churches, and ministering behind prison walls for over 40 years—even on death row. I have seen my dreams come to life and, to a great extent, continue to do so.
God revealed to me that my most effective ministry lies in literature evangelism—distributing educational, religious, and health literature—and prison ministry. Whether selling Christian books, freely sharing them house to house, distributing them in public spaces, or simply offering words of encouragement while making new friends (to me, no one is a stranger—only a friend whose name I have yet to learn), I cherish every opportunity to share God’s word. Much like the Apostle Paul, I hold firmly to the belief that “this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” —1 Timothy 2:3-4.
I have discovered that the secret to success is simply to love others and do whatever I can to meet their needs—within my ability and with a clear conscience.
Please know that when I share information about spiritual matters, I do so with no intent to offend. As Jeremiah 20:9 so beautifully expresses, “His word was in my heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.” I just love the Lord and can’t keep it to myself— so, watch out!
